what dialogue tracks?

I'm so happy about the september release I can't wait. No matter what I'm glad they will be on dvd! I'm just wondering about the different dialogue. I like it better when in ESB luke says to R2 you're lucky you don't taste very good instead of you were lucky to get out of that. The line in ROTJ when lando is worried about Han shooting has different versions as well. What versions do you think will be on the dvds?

Probably the 1993 mixes, the newest remixes of the O-OT (I highly doubt they'd do an all-new remix just for this) - the "you don't taste very good" and "it's all right, trust me" lines are present in this mix.

Well the press release implies whatever the audio was when they were released. Meaning "your lucky you dont taste very good" for ESB; i dont remember what the variations were for ROTJ but I'm fairly sure that "trust me" was the original mix. If they use the 1993 mixes then it wont be "as released in theaters" as the official site states.

Actually, I'm fairly sure that both those line variants weren't in the original original mix, but I'd guess that they will be present on the new DVD as it will likely use the second mix (the stereo one).

Probably very wrong though! Been a while since I've read what was in what mix.

Ooh, a laserdisc. The Cheat's playin' something on a laserdisc.
Everything is better on a laserdisc. Whatever happened to the laserdisc? Laserdisc!

Luke's line in EMPIRE:
Original 1980 35mm stereo (and all subsequent remixes until the SE) mix: "you don't taste very good"
Original 1980 70mm 6-track (and SE): "you were lucky to get out of there"

Han's line in JEDI:
1983 35mm stereo (and all releases after until SE): "It's alright, trust me."
1983 70mm 6-track (and SE): "It's alright, I can see a lot better."

There are many other 6-track/stereo differences, but those are the main ones in each film. (SW has too many to count.) The reason these 70mm lines are in the SE is they used the original 6-track mix as a basis for the new 5.1 mix.
