[rant]I mean, I think about how many ridiculous mistakes Sony made in this generation and they still 'won' as far as I'm concerned. Come on, the machine was as ugly as sin (looked like it was slapped together at the last minute), only two controller ports (four should have been an industry standard from N64 onwards), 3 launch games that were incredibly crap (when will we finally experience an organised, strong launch?), and don't even get me started on the controller itself. No improvements whatsoever over the original Dual Shock as far as I'm concerned - a d-pad that still sucks - four buttons on the front with four shoulder triggers?! Take two off the shoulders and put them on the front dammit so that I can play Street Fighter again! I swear, every console company should commission Sega to design their controllers, especially their d-pads (there hasn't been a good one since the Saturn). So yeah, I considered the PS2 to be a big step back in gaming and somehow, they still managed to sell more than everyone else. [/rant]
