I do like 1776, but what is this Rock you speak of? Is that the name of some movie or are you refering to Rock music? Either case is what said is false. I don't hate Rock music, but I prefer Sinatra style myself. I also like classical music a little. If you like Wayne's World that is fine by me. But my honest gut reaction when I first saw the skit on Saturday Night Live was that is was stupid and not funny therefore, I decided not to see the movie. But one shouldn't rely on my opinion alone.

I know 1776 is off the beaten track, but what is wrong with liking Rocky? The 1st one is a great movie. Ignore the rest.

Just joking I seen both and liked them.

The original Rocky is a great movie, as is First Blood.

Trautman always had the best lines in the rambo movies:

"You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In Vietnam his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well Rambo was the best. "

ahh.. good stuff.

Yeah I gotta say before I say it, I had First Blood totally pegged wrong. It is much better movie than what I thought it would be. I though it was just another dumb blood soaked action flick. It definitely not that. It is a very good movie.

You obviously fell into the same trap that many people stumble into where Rocky is concerned - judging a film by it's sequels (and the reputation those sequels garner)

Actually I fell into the trap of judging the Rambo movies by the traillers of the sequels.
