I think that's so stupid that they call the Japanese movies Ringu over here. They are called Ring, just like here. It's just the Japanese way of pronouncing it. It really pisses off my friends that know Japanese.

Anyway, back on topic.. I think it would be cool to make these "movies" into sequels to the 1992 Kristy Swanson movie. I know I am probably alone in actually liking it better than the series, maybe because I enjoyed it so much after seeing it in the theater and seeing it so many years before the series started.

This wouldn't be that hard really, as the series sorta follows the movie anyway, other than the fact that in the series they say she burned the school down in LA. If you could remove the references to burning the school down and play up the comedy elements, you could make sequels to the movie. Buffy the Vampire Slayer 2. Somehow Kristy Swanson turned into Sara Michelle Gellar. Oh well, you could just pretend not to notice.

Oh well, this is probably a dumb idea.. Actually if you don't want to do this, maybe I will. I really, really, really like the Buffy movie for some reason. Maybe it's because I thought Kristy was hot in it. Well yeah, that. Cheerleaders are hot and stuff. I also really like the scene where she spit the thumbtack out and pinned the fly to the wall. I thought it was a really funny movie too. I know those weren't Joss Whedon's intentions, but I don't care. I think the studio or whoever made better decisions.
