Agreed, Jedi Sage. Nintendo is the only family console left, and the only innovative one. Sony and Microsoft aren't. That is why the Nintendo Wii/Revoultion is the only next-gen console I'm looking forward to. And I've spent years hating Nintendo, but the latest product may be the one I finally get.

Hey, Number20, if any conosle, Wii really IS the one to get. Because of the Virtual Console System, you can download all the great games you've been missing for the past 20 years!

OK I'm seeing the Sony presentation on E3, and it's official: they have CHANGED the controller to COPY NINTENDO Wii's.
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

They were too cowardly to go with the boomerang design, and yet somehow had the testicles to actually BLATANTLY rip-off the function of the Wii controller? How arrogant are they?

Granted, it's not QUITE the same thing, but everyone knows where they got the idea from, and I don't buy for a minute it has a thing to do with 'innovation'....

On the other hand, the fact that the PS3 costs over $500 for their version of the core system ('nother rip off there), I really dont' think Nintendo has anything to worry about.

Heck yes. Sony, your system can do some pretty amazing stuff. And you almost had me sold.

But ripping off Nintendo and charging $500 bucks for the least expensive version is where the line is drawn by Chaltab. Which is me.

Hey, I'm a hard-core Atari fan. 2600 all the way!!!
I don't like Nintendo, because of their anti-trust business practices of the past that forced great systems of the past such as the Sega Master System, TG16, and Atari Lynx out of the market. So no, I'm not a Nintendo fan.
I do, however, actually have a Gameboy Advance, and a Super Nintendo packed away somewere, that was a gift. So no, I haven't missed out on the last 20 years. I just don't like Nintendo personally.

I would be playing Oblivion right now, but my brother got XBox live, and hasn't left his room since.

I've seen some clips of it, and I'm not so sure how cool it will be.

Better graphics and more stuff (reputation matters, riding horses?) just doesn't seem like enough to make me get it, which is kind of depressing.

You mean Oblivion? It kicks all kinds of ass, in my opinion, from the four or so hours I've had the chance to play it.

I dunno, 50 bucks though? I think I might wait a few months, there's other games to play. Cheaper ones that is...

I think we got the Special Edition, but I still think its totally worth it.

I mean, some games are worth the price and more.

The best $100 we've spent, I think, was on GTA: SA(we played the first copy so much until it kinda disintegrated).

Because the first one bit the dust and we bought another copy.

BTW, does anyone have an NES, SNES, or N64 they don't want anymore?

I'd gladly pay you to take it off your hands.

I have an SNES and an NES that I don't play anymore, but I don't have all the correct cords to hook them up with.

Not to change the subject, but I just noticed some screen captures from Starcraft: Ghost for the PS2.

My first reaction was WOW, I thought this game was supposed to suck! Has anyone here played it? (sorry for the hi-res)

From looking at these...how could they NOT be making a kickass sequel to Starcraft for the PC?

I thought they were canning Ghost...weren't they?

I'd love a sequel to StarCraft, but I can't imagine a better balance than the original - the expansion just threw it all out.

Starcraft Ghost has been put on hold indefinitely. It probably won't ever see the light of day, unfortunately.
