There are practically no unlicensed builders of replica lightsabers any more. Besides, none of them made saber replicas that were as accurate as MR, although some of those sabers are nicer in some ways... You can find some on eBay.
For Luke's saber in ANH or ESB get a Graflex replica from Parksabers. Then get a conversion kit from Blast-Tech. Building it is easy.
Anyway, MR's Force FX sabers are actually very nice and affordable. And on the ROTS models, you can actually unscrew the saber and push out a retaining pin. Then the blade becomes removable!
