I'm not sure if the opinions that the complaining about the news is referring to me, but I'd like to speak anyway. I certainly hope it's not because I don't feel that I am reacting to the news in the "wrong way." If it's referring to the more extreme comments, I can't speak for them, just for myself. I have, however, expressed my concern about whether or not this set will be what they claim it to be, or what my imagination and goals hope it to be. I've also wondered aloud the reasoning behind them suddenly releasing it. I don't see how that's being ungrateful. It's being a smart consumer. There has been so much talk over the years from so many members here complaining about how the so-called "Lucas fanboys" eat up everything that Lucas serves up to them, blindly following his whims. Well, if we just eat this up without questioning, doesn't that make us exactly the same, except that we eat up the OOT while the others eat up the SE and PT? But don't confuse questioning with complaining, as I think a lot of you have. Just because some people are asking questions about the set and putting forth what they want it to be doesn't mean we're being ungrateful. We're having the same voice we've always had. This is Lucas's one shot. If he messes this up, I'm sure you'll be angrier than anybody else. And remember that I said if. We shouldn't necessarily assume that they'll be screwed up (even though his previous efforts have proven to the contrary); nor should we automatically assume they'll be right, either. We simply don't know enough to make any kinda of judgements. It's too early. Me? I'm excited about the possibilities. And you won't see me complaining if the sound isn't quite good enough or the picture isn't as amazingly vibrant. I will, however, throw a fit if I find out that a single frame of any of the films has been altered by Lucas's digital paint box. That's all I'll complain about. And considering that we all want the original versions, I don't think I'm voicing a dissenting opinion here. That's what we all want, and that's what we all expect. And, in the immortal words of Uncle Owen, if George doesn't deliver this time (after a decade of baiting us and making fun of us and what we love, waiting until we're rabid and mobilized to finally release it, which makes me wonder why you're all so quick to immediately forgive everything) then "there'll be hell to pay."
