If they make an announcement that's enough for me, my point being that if they will soon be retail and everyone will be able to buy the OT on an official licensed DVD and that makes the “preservation” efforts more of a real “bootleg” - meaning that we are trying to circumvent and under mind the film industry by offering either for free or for profit versions of a DVD you can walk into a store and buy. I’m sure that some of you noticed that I’ve deleted about 15 DVD’s from my “Angrysvn” collection as the titles I deleted have become available as retails DVD’s.
The reason I’ve not removed the ISOMIX or the EDITDROID files is that they offer an isolated score neither of the current releases offer that (yet) so I look at that not only as a preservation effort but also as a “fan edit” of sorts.
Yes, it’s still a grey area but so are ADM’s Harry Potters and the day that they offer Proper extended versions I will also delete them from the torrents.
