I've mentioned it in another thread, those comments were more than likely deleted because in a Marketing PR release, they sounded more snarky than you'd want. Plus it ends up sort of casting other LFL products (The 2004 editions) in a negative light.

Purely aesthetic reasons, I'd think, especially since they kept the mention of "The versions you saw in 1977" etc. etc.
