Help Wanted: compiling the Lego Star Wars releases - Help Needed

Hi all,

No, I’m not asking for cheats, or help with the game. My 7 year old nephew has recently got into SW in a huuuge way. It started with the Lego sets, and the Lego PS2 game but thanks to my ‘donation’ of god knows how many DVDs (his parents hate me now), he officially loves it.

Since it was the Lego that got him started, I want to do him a disc for his birthday in a couple of months. I’ve got ‘Revenge Of The Brick’ but on other sites (mainly G4tv.com) I’ve seen other SW Lego video clips. Can anyone help me acquire these in a downloadable format that I can author onto a disc for him?

Episode III The Video Game - The Movie
24: The Missing Day
Star Wars - The Interactive Board Game DVD
Battlefront - Journal of the 501st

why not make a movie out of the lego cinemas in the game?

Is there a trailer for lego star wars II: the original trilogy?

I have "Revenge of the Brick" on DVD (promotional product), and it's also available in the DVD of "Clone Wars - Volume 2".

Here is the link to the official site of the creators of "Revenge of the Brick", where you can find the short, a making of (narrated by Mark Hamill), and an extended version of the "Clone Trooper Orchestra" (seen in the end credits of the short).

And here is the official Star Wars page on LEGO.com. On this page ("Screening Room"), just at the top of "Revenge of the Brick" picture, you can find "The Han Solo Affair" and "Classic Star Wars Animations". They are also short movies, but not made in CGI. It's made in "stop-motion" technique, using real Lego toys.

That's all for now, I hope it will help you and enjoy your nephew.

daveytod, I hope you'll consider looking around for a little while and then compiling a disc that not only your nephew will enjoy, but one that you could share with us here at the OT.com forums. What do you say? I reckon it would be cool if you did a DVD that contained everything related to Lego Star Wars.

To contact me outside the forum, for trades and such my email address is my OT.com username @gmail.com

I would LOVE to see YOU do this, I have thought about the same project myself. To bad I have a million things to do before that.

Having looked through just a few of whats on offer, thanks to Ell's awesome links, I think there might be a proper release from me after all. Nothing fancy, just a Nero authored collection, but damn some of these things are cool

I haven't downloaded it, but on mininova, there is something called "Kalak's Lego Star Wars Speed Run". "Speed Run"s are video captures of someone playing a video game to completion as fast as possible. There used to be blog posts about Mario Bros. speed runs and other old video game speed runs which found renewed interest because of emulators. (also the speed run terminology came about because you could play the game in the emulator at a faster speed because of modern cpu power) If this is what I think it is, this would make a great addition to a Lego DVD.

Speed Run videos of all the SW games (via emulators) would make a superb set. nudge nudge wink wink I'd watch them because i suck at video games and would love to see how the games played out.

I'm having some real rpoblems with this project. Nero just freezes when it tries to transcode these files, so I need something to convert WMV or Divx files into MPEGs

Don't overlook Lego Star Wars' "Build the Story" section, where they solicit fan recreations. Not much animation, but a lot of creative solutions:

So did anything ever come out of this? I've been playing Lego Star Wars and I'd love to see any and all Lego Star Wars stuff.
