if you say the calculations you have to do you wouldnt think it was cool, infact you wouldnt know what to think cause you wouldnt know what all the symbols were, hahaha. i dont even know what half of the symbols meant.

college is below university, there usually isnt any research at collages, where universities are all about the research.

Here's where I'm confused.

I'm at a community college. I'm going to transfer after 2 years into a four year college for another 2 to 4 years (depending on what I want to do with my life lol). So is the 4 year college also called a 4 year university? Or are they two totally differen't things...

its weird they are pretty much interchangable, you can get a degree at a college, however its not as prestegious as a degree froma university, cause at college you arent learning from the best. at university you are learning from PHDs who are dong research in the feild they are teaching you, so its a better learning experience.

Well CSU stands for California State University, but UC stands for University of California.....

Yeah, do that. Reading Dayv's post about never being to the West Coast didn't surprise me - it seems that I have seen more of America than most Americans. I've been all over both coasts and lots of the middle too. I've been to about 30 different States. Never been to Texas though Dayv.

If you go to university you'll find yourself doing research as well. I went to UC Berkeley myself. Even in the film dept. you do research all the time. Oh, and I hate school. At the same time I understand I should be grateful, however, since there are many who never get the chance to go this far. It's proving very hard for me to make the most of it. It's also hard to remember a lot of what I learn, so I sometimes wonder, 'is it worth it?' Life is so contrary.

yeah i myself have been to more of the states than canada. farthest east i've been is T.dot aka Toronto, but that was driving from NJ to Niagara Falls then to Toronto. We've gone up to Winnipeg by car.

However states wise i've been to west, central and east coast. mind you i've only done the top half of the east coast of the states, and the bordering inside states. done a lot of travelling on the west coast, been to Cali twice by car, once by plane. needless to say i need to explore BC a little more cuz i've done more of Washington and Oregon than my own beautiful british columbia!

everybody needs to check out texas and nevada. those states are just fabulous. i'm a huge fan of Dallas and Las Vegas.

Sean, I recently had a falling out with a friedn of ten years. I'm moving to America next week and we haven't spoken for a month. For a while I was wondering what I should do, should I get in touch, should I try and fix things? But then I realised that this one incident was just the icing on the cake and he is not actually a very nice or caring person and I do not need him in my life. So I might drop him a 'have a nice life' e-mail, but that's it. It's really no loss.

Well, if you think he's not worth trying to apologize to, then he probably won't accept your apology anyway.

But, there is always the possibility (however unlikely) that you being the proverbial bigger man will make him feel like a jerk and inspire him to change.

i hate paypal its the most damn confusing payment system ever. and it's not like i don't use online banking cuz i do to pay my bills!
