Most of the activities going on at the OT.com are undefined legally. The obvious copyright infringement like making one-to-one exact copies of releases is not encouraged, but the transfering of outdated and unavailable materials is appreciated. The later has few court cases to prove it's legal status. As for fan edits, the closest thing to a legal court battle, was the case of Clean Films, a religous organization who's members would buy copies of various films, and the chosen few would edit out material they thought the flock wouldn't like, and the paying members would rent those edited copies to watch. But that case was against a business, we're just individuals here. It's all shades of grey. none
