And I also hate the state of modern popular music. In my weightlifting class at school, our coach has a Radio and lets us listen to music. Sometimes he puts in his praise CDs (he recently became a believer) but on occasion he lets us listen to whatever we want.
Nobody ever sings along when it's on modern pop, rock, ect. stations. Even the better songs are largely ingored. On the other hand, the radio was set to a country station today, and EVERYBODY started singing along when "Friends in Low Places" and "Five'o'clock Somewhere" came on.
I guess what I'm saying is this: I hate the fact that most modern music is completely soulless and/or depressing. Please, sing about something other than your inner turmoil; you're going to give yourselves (and all of us) an ulcer!
