Torrents Noob.

I am a total noob when it comes to torrents. Here are my main questions:

- What are the best torrent websites to search on?
- How do you search for the torrent you want and get results (e.g. if I wanted to get hold of Moth3r's OT PAL DVDs, how would I search for their torrents?)?
- What is 'seeding'?
- What do you do with a torrent once you've downloaded it? Or more to the point: how do you make the transition from torrent to DVD? What programs will I need?
- DVDs aside, how do you turn a torrent into a fully functional movie stored on your computer?

Again, sorry for my complete ignorance, but I really need to get started learning all this...your help would be greatly appreciated - SHOW ME THE LIGHT!

I'll take them one by one...

-MySpleen.net is the best place for fan-made projects that are talked about on here. ThePirateBay has some, but no one hardly ever seeds them (I'll get to this in a bit). Demonoid is good, but registering there is next to impossible.

-Typing "Moth3r" into the search box should do you just fine. "Star Wars" will net you all the releases.

-It's more or less uploading from my understanding, once you've fully downloaded the torrent its advised to share at least once or twice over (Torrent programs have a share ratio indicator). Someone else can probably explain this better than I can.

-Depends. Some torrents have a VIDEO_TS folder that you can burn with Nero as "Burning DVD video files." I'm sure other programs have similar ways as well. Others are ISO, which you just burn like a normal DVD.

-Just downloading it will be enough. VIDEO_TS files can be opened with your DVD player easily enough.

These are just some basic answers to get you started, I'm sure others have more complete answers because I'm not exactly an expert myself. Hope this helps though!

Why Anakin really turned to the dark side:
"Anakin, You're father I am" - Yoda
"No. No. That's not true! That's impossible!" - Anakin

I'm trying to learn how to upload on Demonoid and their site is under costruction. Anyone feel like walking me thru it. I downloaded Maketorrent 2v1 and the How to Use confuses me. I've tried Googling for answers but I'm getting alot of tech babble I don't understand. I also want to upload on Spleen but I have to donate or something to get uploading status. Trying to share my bounty of stuff and am getting fustrated. Thanx

Bump.

On my old PC I used to have all the necessary stuff for using bit torrent. Now that I have my notebook, I've forgotten it all. There used to be an excellent guide to BitTorrent at MF.com, but about a year ago, they got real selective and started kicking people off their site (I was one). So now I do not have access to that guide. So now I'm completley lost.

One of the best file sharing guides out there is slyck's guide. To keep from getting in trouble, i won't post a direct link, just google slyck, should be the first link. They cover just about every major file sharing service that exists.
