As for anime that needs preserving, I took one of my two Lensman master VHS tapes (fullscreen and dubbed) and converted it to dvd with a stand-alone dvd recorder. Quality is a little washed out (because I got both tapes used form a video store, and this was the better of the two), and there is a video glitch at about the *will have to check the time* mark that the standalone merely skips frames over for. I have a friend in Japan who's still looking for the fabled region2 dvd release, to no avail. Anyone interested in what I have can definetely tag me about it.
