Mitch, from what I've read the 35mm prints were mono, and the 70mm were 6-track, so a 5.1 remix wouldn't necessarily be wrong. Warner has a very good track record with their classic releases, so I'm optimistic the Oscar-winning sound will be done right.

Suntech, I hate you for the simple fact that you've seen this movie on a big screen. Because it was Cinerama, from Hell's heart I stab at thee. Hmm, I might have to arrange my own big-screen showing some morning...
