Oh yeah, Frailty! Underrated movie.

could the ending of Fail-Safe be considered a twist ending?

what about Star Trek II and Star Trek: Nemesis?

if you had no idea it was coming, you'd be surprised by the endings of these movies.

Please avoid spoilers, everyone. But I agree, both Unbreakable and Signs should not be listed, although I enjoyed both films.

More films:

Fight Club
The Others
Vertigo

I dunno man, Unbreakable did have a pretty big twist in the end, IMHO. Weak twist my ass - that was one of the greatest comic book films ever made, and it wasn't even based on a comic book.

What about movies that seem like they TRIED to have a twist ending, but the whole plot is painfully obvious, instead?

Liike...

High Crimes
aand...
The Thirteenth Floor

- - and in the case of the latter, I'm not referring to the plot device...the whole movie was a clone, I'm just referring to their "clever" ending.
Surprised, aren't you? I knew you would be.

Well, I belive "the thirteenth floor" should be considered, even though it was a crappy film.

As for anime... Cowboy Bebop has a bunch of clever plot twists, and "Hotaru no Haka" (Grave of the Fireflies) has a pretty decent plot twist, even though the end of the movie is on the beggining. (NOT A SPOILER belive me)

Wow, Fight Club had the biggest twist I've ever seen in a movie for sure!

If it hasn't been mentioned The Italian Job had a twist in the beginning/middle sorta.

The president being elected twice was a twist; the sudden realization that I had to feel ashamed for another 4 years was almost too much.

Twister?

Hmm, I thought Identity was pretty good, and it definitely had a helluva twist.

There is no lingerie in space…

C3PX said: Gaffer is like that hot girl in high school that you think you have a chance with even though she is way out of your league because she is sweet and not a stuck up bitch who pretends you don’t exist… then one day you spot her making out with some skinny twerp, only on second glance you realize it is the goth girl who always sits in the back of class; at that moment it dawns on you why she is never seen hanging off the arm of any of the jocks… and you realize, damn, she really is unobtainable after all. Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

Metal Gear Solid? Well sort of.

Ooo, ooo, I got another one: Zardoz!

Most remembered by Sean Connery in red underware fighting the giant flying stone head that said "The gun is good, the penis is evil". That film had a twist ending as well.

Oh, and how about A.I.?

No way. It would have been brilliant, not... creepy and boring like Spielberg's.
