ok this looks really cool, a 9 book series that takes place 40 years after ANH to an unknown time, and a comic book series based 140 years after ANH. its going to be very interesting.

there are rumors about, and you see forshadowing of it in NJO and the Dark nest trilogy, that Jacen solo is following the same path as anakin almost. the first book is called betrayl, could it be this is when jacen turns. it is known that in the comic booc series that takes play 140 years after ANH, that there is a new skywalker, cane’s the guys name, and he has left the order, and has forsaken the skywalker name. it is also known that there is a new empire, and a New Sith order, rumors are that the new order is headed by Aaya, remember her, the hot twilek master from the PT. this is has a lot of potiental to be good, or the mess up big. but considering the authers they have i cant see them messing it up. what do you guys think.

i also think we might see the death of luke in this new series, maybe at the very end. anakin solo is supposed to make some appears with also suggests something about jacen, and whether he turns or not. also there is talk of vergere full story being fleshed out. apparently they want to talk about the whilles too i.e. yodas race, but lucas wont let them so we will see where that goes.

yeah its pretty good, parts get kinda boring, but if you have all three ready one after the other you'll enjoy it. its a real throw back though dayv. there is alot of stuff from the POV of luke, liea, and other older jedi. the young jedi, are veiwed as exactly thats, young and nieve, even though they are not. Jacen character is really cool though, even though he isnt a master, let alone on the council, luke still talks to him the same with yoda may have talked to mace. or surprisingly vice versa. the more i read about it the more i think that luke is really the sword of the jedi, and that the philosophies need to be left to someone else. jacen is really taking on the role of yoda now, however he is still quite rebellious.

anyway on another note, i think that this might be the last book series for starwars interms of books after the movies. with this 9 book series, and the comics with lukes great great grandson, that takes place 100 years after the fact. 140 years after a new hope, we are finally going to see what happens. i predict that luke as well as many of the old gaurd die in this new series. to tell you the truth i thought they were going to kill luke at the end of the NJO. that would have been a very good end to his life after he had killed shimrra. his last words could have been, "i die having brought the galaxy back from darkness twice, and leave it to you now"
