Batman: Son of the Demon - very cool, some good themes, esp. regarding revenge
Batman: Blind Justice - more about Bruce Wayne than Batman, but very good plot, a bit far-fetched at points with the mind-transferring device, though - a fair bit of Batman Begins was inspired by this, I believe...
Superman All-Star #3 - Superman gives Lois his powers for 24 hours on her birthday, a very fun read
Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #195 & 196 - Some cool Dr. Freeze moments (with his pyschosis, and his wife speaking to him), but I find Batman's team of nerds to be a bit annoying
The Death of Superman - I got a bit lost with some of the JLA sub-plots, but this is every bit as great as it should be, especially the ending.
Batman: Year One - I do find that this book is as much about Jim Gordon as it is about Batman, but this is probably the best graphic novel I've ever read. I can see a lot of how both Burton's Batman and Nolan's Batman came from this.
***POSSIBLE SPOILER? (though if you're into Batman at all, it won't be)***
After reading all this, I had some questions - in DC continuity, is Ra's Al Ghul and Henri Ducard meant to be one in the same? I know this is a plot-twist in Batman Begins, but it appears to me after reading these comics that they are two completely different characters...was it just for convenience's sake?
***END SPOILER***
