I hate how dvd's (at least in Region 1) are costing more and more even as the price on blank dvd's (particularly dual layer) continues to drop. Plus some movies (like Goblet of Fire) are being sold in single disc bare bones additions for the same price two disc special editions used to go for. Of course there is a Deluxe Ultimate Collector's Special Edition but you have to pay $5-10 more for that.

Pretty shitty study if you ask me. Most people dont realize that there are two versions of the DVD so they just grab whats on the shelf. Im sure a lot of people dont even make sure the disc is widescreen before they buy it. When I got Batman Begins I had to go to 4 or 5 stores to find one that was carrying the 2 disk set with the comic, and this was only a week or two after its release. The guy at best buy even told me that it was discontinued when i asked, I thanked him, walked out, and proceeded to cal him a moron to my brother because the movie was only out for a week and I seriously doubt the studio would discontinue it that soon, as even if they did there would still be shipments on the way or they would have had to discontinue it after the first shipment.
so yeah, its not gonna give them accurate results if a) people dont know what they are buyin (or not buying) and b) stores dont carry both versions so people dont have a choice.
