I gave up over a year ago.

But before I gave up, I used to enjoy mixing sweet and sour. For example, a bag of salt and vinegar crisps with a snickers bar works surprisingly well.

But pizza is the champion stoned food - so easy to prepare (and the ease of preparation is very imporatnt when under the influence) and tastes so good.

Pizza is the best - Dominos - Create your own - Cheese, Tomato, Onions, Mushrooms, Peperoni and Jalepenos(sp?)...mmmm makes me hungry thinking about it

My fave when I have the munchies is a box of Cadburys chocolate fingers.

I like to do my own pizza. It's fun.

But regarding pizza places, I prefer Pizza Hut over Dominoes (which I have eaten only once).

I Have - My parents are Italiano so I've been once or twice in my life

And you're right, you haven't had pizza till you've had Italian pizza. I take it you're talking about the pizza guys on the street selling them? If so, yep. they are the best!

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm talking about, but the restaurant pizzaz are good too. My Mum is Italian (well, Italian blood anyway, she was born and raised in London). I've been to Italy probably 20 times, and you can't even compare their pizzas to any other.

I am from São Paulo, which is a city with a huge italian immigrant population, and we have traditional italian pizza places which are as good as the ones in Italy. Apart from the fast-food-ish Pizza Hut, I cannot eat pizza anywhere in Brazil except São Paulo, the pizza is terrible out of there.

You guys get ripped off in the U.S. when it comes to pizza (and that's about the only thing). In Australia, Domino's and Pizza Hut compete viciously with coupons (everybody gets a set of coupons in the mail each week), so most people can buy unlimited large pizzas (pickup - delivery is a bit more expensive) for $5 each (and remembering the exchange rate, that's about $3.50 US) with practically unlimited toppings.

In Seattle, my friend ordered a Domino's cheese pizza and it cost $20 delivered. That's daylight robbery, I tell's ya!

Over here a giant size super supreme from Pizza Hut costs about 10 dollars.

How big is giant size?

We used to have small (4 slices), large (8 slices), and family (12 slices) sizes, but ever since Domino's and Pizza Hut got into a price war about 10 or so years ago, the large pizzas were the most economical, and all the other sizes were phased out. Nowadays, if you want to eat heaps of pizza, it's more a question of how many pizzas you get, rather than what size. You can usually get 2 large pizzas, garlic bread, and a 2 Litre Coke for about $21.95 delivered.

Nobody gets ripped off more than the British. Pizza, petrol, DVDs, you name it, we get ripped off. And before anybody tries to compare our salaries and say it's all relevant - it's not. We get paid less and charged more. RIP OFF.

OK. Let's see if that is true. Tell me how much would you pay for a good computer, a PC game, an XBOX 360, or a DVD, any electronic good at all, and I'll say how much those cost here, and then we'll see who gets ripped off.

(by the way, giant size, 12 slices)

I just took my lunch break and done a little window shopping:

Harry Potter 4 DVD: £14.99
Big Mac Meal from McDonalds: £3.18
X-Box 360 with Ghost Recon and memory card: £259.99
Large Meat Feast Pizza from Pizza Hut: £12.99
1 litre of Tropicana Orange Juice: £1.69

Also:

My rent for a one bedroom flat: £605 per calender month (which is extremely cheap, BTW - average is about £800)
1 Litre of unleaded petrol: £0.95

Bearing in mind that I earn roughly £270 a week after tax working in a respectable and educated job working for the government and I hold a university Batchelors degree and am 25 years old and married.

OK let's transform that into dollars so we can compare to our local currency (Brazillian Real).

Harry Potter 4 DVD UK: £14.99 = US$26.08
Big Mac Meal from McDonalds UK: £3.18 = US$5.53
X-Box 360 with Ghost Recon and memory card UK: £259.99 = US$452.38
Large Meat Feast Pizza from Pizza Hut UK: £12.99 = US$22.60
1 litre of Tropicana Orange Juice UK: £1.69 = US$2.94
1 litre of petrol UK: £0.95 = US$1.65

Here (I'm trying to go by memory here, so it might not be accurate):

Harry Potter 4 DVD Brazil: R$45.00 = US$20.61
Big Mac Meal from McDonalds Brazil: R$9.00 = US$4.12
X-Box 360 with Ghost Recon and memory card Brazil: R$1200.00 = US$549.67
Large Meat Feast Pizza from Pizza Hut Brazil: R$23.00 = US$10.53 (if you are a student, you have 50% discount on some pizzas)
1 litre of Tropicana Orange Juice Brazil: R$3.00 = US$1.37
1 litre of petrol Brazil: R$2.50 = US$1.14

So I suppose we are in better shape, but most items here are not electronics. See how we pay more for electronic goods. Videogames are specially expensive here. A good PC game can cost 100 reais, about 45 dollars. A Nintendo DS game can cost 130 reais, almost 60 dollars.

Yeah, but you need food to live and a roof over your head I find to be quite useful. Most people also need petrol. However, you can live without an X-Box.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to get on the property ladder in London.

England is a joke. This country is finished.

BTW, The last time I bought a computer game was for a super nintendo (a long time ago) and that was £49.99!!! In the mid nineties!!! I believe that a UMD movie (for PSP) costs about £20. Other than that, I can't really tell you how much games cost. I usually borrow PC games and I don't own a console.

The minimum wage here is R$300.00 a month, that is, US$137.42. End of discussion on which country is finished.
