Idea: Twin Peaks - season 2 preservation?

I understand Twin Peaks season 2 is a viable preservation project as AFAIK, it is not available on an official DVD anywhere in the world right now. That said, does anyone have a preserved DVD edition or the ability to make one? If not, would anyone be interested if I got/made one? Please PM me either way. Jay, Zion, Moth3r, please set me straight if this does not qualify for preservation.

It doesn't really qualify for preservation because Paramount is releasing a set later this year, as one boxed set (not split in two, as per previous speculation). After Lynch finishes everything with Inland Empire, he's going to supervise new transfers of the episodes so that they look just as insanely nice as the Season 1 release.

The Spanish DVDs are pretty common. I've got em.

Looking forward to a proper NTSC set.

Thanks for the info Reverend & ocp. I already have the pilot, both seasons and FWWM on VHS and the pilot, season 1 and FWWM on DVD (i.e. all the official releases) and will be buying the Paramount set if and when it comes. I just watched season 1 again and was impatient to see the rest - unfortunately my PAL VHS set is in storage in the UK and I am now living in the states, so I was looking for a set to watch now.

You should be able to find the Spanish set pretty easily, THX (as ocp says), though the quality is rancid.

Good news on the Paramount release, Reverend ! Is this common knowledge ? First I've heard of it...

Season 2 should be out by end of the year or early next year. They already completed interviews for the set last year. What would be good is to mke an extras DVD of the Log Lady Intros (Pilot version was missing from the International sets) and there is no guarantee that they will be included on the new Season 2 box set from Paramount. Also there's the SNL episode with Kyle MacLachlan that is just priceless. That and the Julee Cruise video.

I used to have a lot of these on VHS, but alas, I have lost my copies over the years.

I've got a tape with a bunch of TP rarities that I've been meaning to backup onto DVD. There's a workprint of about half an episode, dailies from another episode, the Japanese commercials and some other random stuff.
