Actually, that's definitely something I'd like to see. The only thing missing, IMHO, from digitalfreak's release was the voiceover.
As for the game, well, I wouldn't say it works on modern hardware. Yeah, the link provided by Moth3r has links to files to help get it running, but I've also read that it doesn't work under XP (how much more modern can you get than that?). It may very well work using the xpcompat program though. Of coure, reverse engineering the code to make it work natively would probably fall under preservation, but that's not what was planned.
