I'm basically happy with the way the movies are now with only a few exceptions. I really don't think they need extended versions. The Voldemort scene was fine the way it was. The lengthy exposition that Voldemort rattled off in the book about his history for the past 13 years was very interesting but would have gotten old fast as movie dialogue. Anyway, the only glaring continuity errors that really bother me are when Uncle Vernon in Azkaban suddenly knows that Harry's not allowed to do magic in school despite him never finding out and previously thinking that Harry could bewitch him at any minute. Another is the removal of Azkaban's backstory about the animagi and the origin of the Marauder's Map, Whomping Willow, etc. And I know I just complained about exposition, but this was really important and leads into my final complaint: Peter Pettigrew being referred to by Harry solely as Wormtail in Goblet of Fire, despite the fact that the previous movie had not at all attributed that name to him. The rest, like changing schoo geography, different actors, and other minor problems and omissions really don't bother me at all. I have a friend whose enjoyment of Chamber of Secrets is diminished because the Deathday Party was ommitted, and that was Moaning Myrtle's original entrance into the story. The lack of that never bothered me at all, and her introduction in her bathroom is quite perfect for the sake of condensing things. Yet she insists that it completely ruins the character. I guess it's an individual thing.
