The truth is, none of the current sets are perfect; they're all flawed in some way, either due to the limitations of single layer discs or the equipment used to make them. Yes, even OCP's set, while well made and great quality, still contains unremoveable SE elements which hamper my enjoyment. The color scheme on the retail DVDs is terribly oversaturated and it's much too dark, although OCP did compensate for this somewhat. As good as they are, I'd still rather watch blurry LD copies.
My set does have its flaws, but I specifically wanted to concentrate more on sound quality than video quality, because that is what makes Star Wars great, and also because no other transfer has PCM audio. Personally, I could care less about a few extra lines of resolution if I have to listen to dull, compressed audio. This is just my opinion and I don't expect anyone to concur, so save your comments.
Hopefully, once the X0 project is complete, it will put this thread to rest as I'm sure it will be the new standard, and there will be no further disputes as to which is best.
