Im currently doing a little editing project on some footage me and some friends did. Basically, I love the notion of creating something from nothing (This was about 30 seconds of test footage for a WW2 segment in a 48hour film festival) - But now its a mini WW2 style short complete with sound effects!
Im also yearning to do a re-edit of Episode 1 or Return of the Jedi but that will be something later.

But im stuck guys and I know that you'l be able to help me... *crosses fingers*

Basically, if I output the movie using Sorensen 3 compression, when it loads up in Quicktime it doesent keep the 16:9 ratio. Instead, it squashes it to 4:3.

So, maybe i need to register Quicktime for it to do this? possibly. I dunno.

So I output it as an AVI using the Microsoft DV AVI compression.

Now, by default, my files load through Real Player...and lo and behold, it plays it as a 4:3 with it squashed.

However!

If I play the exact same file through Windows Media player...it plays in its intended aspect ratio of 16:9!

This is driving me crazy

I did a short test with my camera years ago on 16:9 and never had any problems. But now, it just squashed it to 4:3...unless I play it through Media Player.

But I want it to be compressed using sorensen cause it looks better.

Can anyone help me?
