It is EXTREMELY hard to live with, both for him and for us. There are some days where I can't even stand being in the same room with him. Maybe if I could just get away from him for a few years the hatred would lessen, even though it's already convinced me that I should never have children. You'd think it would make me more tolerant and/or patient but it hasn't; if anything it's only made me selfish and callous and easily irritable.

That's neat that your girlfriend's worked on all those autism projects. She has far more patience and compassion than I do.

I hate to admit it, but that sums me up pretty well. I've had deeper, more meaningful relationships with people over the internet - mostly through e-mail - than with people I've seen on a regular basis either at work or at Villa Julie (my college - VJC for short). How sad is that?

I'm fine with my life. There's just very few people I like to talk to.
Author

hey i am the same way, i dont feel like wasting my time having meaningless talks with people that i really dont give to shits about, but because i know them i should pretend to care. My girlfriend hates that i dont, what i call, 'fake' talk to people.

My life isn't horrible per se, but I can never seem to focus when I need to the most, which is especially bad because I have some aspirations to be a professional writer (mostly sword and sorcery stuff). I tried some prescription drugs that were supposed to help me with my focus problems but they didn't help much. And ately I've developed an interest in acting. I feel kinda torn apart lately. I hate that feeling.

I am an aspie myself too. I've created a topic about it some time ago, more than an year ago I belive. It's a curse and a blessing at the same time...
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering
