"That and 4698 put me offically back on the top ten"

That much closer to bumping AWK off the list. May sugarplums dance in your head for that.

"Does Men In Black 2/II deserve to be on the worst sequels list?"

Yes. They didn't even try. That movie was a tired rehash of the best jokes of the original, and it succeeded in not making them funny the second time around.

MeBeJedi: Sadly, I believe the prequels are beyond repair.
JediRandy: They’re certainly beyond any repair you’re capable of making.

MeBeJedi: You aren’t one of us.
Go-Mer-Tonic: I can’t say I find that very disappointing.

JediRandy: I won’t suck as much as a fan edit.

Just making sure I'm not crazy. I have to admit watching MIB 2 was like tuning into your favorite sitcom after it jumps the shark - the timing of the jokes and gags was way off, many of said gags were grossly overplayed (the scene where Smith and Jones invade a family's home to get their guns ends with Smith yammering way too much about what they should allow their little girl to do late at night comes to mind here, as does Smith trying to roll himself down a pile of foam), Patrick Warburton was underused, Frank the Pug was overused and the thing with Rosario Dawson went no where.
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

I agree on MIIB. I would've liked to see them bring back Linda Fiorentino, and if they were going to bring Jones back into the mix, hold off until it was absolutley necessary. A prime example of lazy storytelling.

This leads me to my next question: where was Ghostbusters II on this list?

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Maybe it was smart of Linda Fiorentino not to come back for MIB 2... though I hear she's kind of a bitch to work with (just ask Kevin "Dogma" Smith).

As for Ghostbusters 2, well, who knows, I guess some sequels just weren't bad enough.

Could it be worse than Marlon Brando.

I heard this as well. He even got along with Shannen Doherty more than Fiorentino.

Fair go - MIIB is easily worse than GB2. The pug was WAAAY overplayed - he was mildly funny in a 'oh look, there's a dog and he's talking!' kind of way, the first time around. I think they drew him out to market the film towards the kids. Like Jar Jar Binks, only not as bad (though still annoyed the shite outta me)...

Teen Wolf Too was indeed in the list. Ghostbusters II and MIIB should be on the list before Matrix Reloaded or Oceans Twelve. Their greatest crime was not living up to the original. Other than that, they're quite enjoyable. They even admitted that Revolutions was worse than Reloaded, yet stuck Reloaded on the list instead. Faulty logic at best.

P.S. Here's the list again. Read through it and you'll know what's there and what's not.

Not seen Ocean's Twelve or Ghost Busters II, but I rather liked MIIB. The ending was stupid and predictable, I'll give you that. The dog never really bothered me.

And the whole "Statue of Liberty Torch is a Giant Nueralizer" scene was sweet.
