Awesome! Once you get good at it, it's really exciting. Adigitalman has a great how-to thread that covers all the bases:

And for the record, once my edits are in the air, you and anyone are free to use any bits and pieces from it that you like. (I say this because mine borrows heavily from other edits, and because I encourage any spark of fan editing!)
