They should make games like the 2nd and 3rd and 4th ones.

The only TMNT game I have is Fall of the Foot Clan for Game Boy, and I always thoroughly enjoyed it.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

I had that one, and i don't remeber what happened to it.

The interesting thing about it was that it had a level select, so you could start wherever you wanted to. But if you wanted to see the ending, you had to start from the very beginning and work all the way through.

Warner Bros. Pictures will handle domestic distribution of the first all-CGI-animated film in the popular "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" franchise, while the Weinstein Co. will take international territories, says Variety.

Warners will release the pic on March 30, 2007. An overseas release date was not announced.

TWC and Warners jointly acquired worldwide distribution rights last fall from Imagi Services, which obtained the production and distrib rights from the Mirage Group, which in turns owns and manages the popular kids franchise. Animation vet Kevin Munroe is directing and writing. He developed the screenplay in consultation with "Turtles" comicbook co-creator Peter Laird.

'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' represents a brand that is widely recognized all around the world, and we think this new CG version will be a huge hit among audiences everywhere," said TWC co-chair Harvey Weinstein, who made the announcement with Warner Bros. Pictures prexy of distribution Dan Fellman.

Studio and TWC said the new PG-rated film will be slightly grittier than the three live-action "Turtles" movies released by New Line more than a decade ago. Combined, those three pics grossed more than $256 million at the U.S. box office.

Imagi USA prexy-CEO Thomas K. Gray, who produced two of the earlier "Turtles" films, and Galen Walker are producing. Francis Kao, Laird, Gary Richardson and Frederick Fierst are exec producers.

CGI animation is being created in Imagi's facility in Hong Kong.

Interest in the franchise enjoyed a resurgence in 2003 when the "Turtles" returned to Cartoon Network and Fox's 4Kids TV in the U.S. as well as on international channels.

I remember how bad the first TMNT game for the NES was.

I take offense to that. TMNT 1 is one of my all time favorite NES games. True, it is one of the hardest NES games, but I've beaten it several times. Every time I get to Shredder I have only one or two pellets of life left with Raph and I still seem to beat him.

The PC version pissed me off. I swear black and blue it was rigged...

But it's all about the journey, right? *grumble grumble grumble*

Yeah those are 3 awsome movies.

I'm sorry, Sean, but I have to disagree with you on this point. I thought the first movie was no-fuss 1hr 20m of cinematic gold. But I thought the second and third movies sucked for a few reasons:

2) discontinuity as per the cast changes and suit changes
3) Tokka and Razar
4) Killing off Shredder in TMNT2:SOTO

Which leads me to

5) No real antagonist in Turtles in Time

But as I said, the first movie is probably in my top ten. It rocks my world.

Yeah, but it was the first story arc, not the first comic - that's why I felt it was a bad idea to kill him off in the second movie, especially if they intended to make more sequels.

Tell me more about this PC version. I've never heard of it. Is it the same game as TMNT 1 on NES?

It was *almost* the same, from what I remember. I played the PC game at home on my 286, and played the NES version at my cousins' house. It was an action platformer - the 'pellets' life bar - climbing up ladders, killing mousers, trying to save April, Rocksteady and Bebop as end-of-level bosses at times. Then that map screen where you choose the next level. The main difference seemed to be what levels you could do in what order. I feel as though the PC version was more linear, and I'm almost certain there was a bug in the game with a level that could not be passed...

A guy my mom knew as a kid, Kevin Nash played Super Shedder.
