Yeah, and last time I was in Canada there was a huge picture of the Queen Mother on the wall of the customs office.

QEII is still the Queen of Canada, just like she's the Queen of Australia and all the other Commonwealth countries. She holds no real power, but is still our figurehead of state. We like tradition, that's all.

As for the Queen Mum in the Customs Office, I have no answers.
