I'm working on a new project, which involves this Thai martial arts film from 2003. The movie was released domestically in 2005, but as an edited, rescored version. The movie was released onto DVD prior to its US theatrical premiere in a few countries. It was mildly popular for a while, and mostly screened in smaller cinemas in the USA.

I saw the US theatrical release at a local theater and did not really care for it. Although the subs were more accurate, the revamped music and editing of certain scenes hampered its enjoyment.

The film rights were purchased in 2004 by Luc Besson (Fifth Element) and the film was reedited and rescored for the western market. I believe some of the sound effects were also altered. From the info I have been able to find, the ONLY uncensored, unedited 108 minute version in NTSC format was released by Edko of Hong Kong. Unfortunately, due to some mixup, it did not contain English subtitles. This version is not quite as clean as the US R1 release, but it contains a great DTS track and most importantly, is the original version. I've recently found a copy of the film, taken from the Edko release with added English subtitles. Because the Dolby track is rather weak, and the Cantonese dub is pointless, this release will be DTS only. There will also not be any special features, since they do not have English subtitles and just take up space needed for video quality.

Stats:
1.85:1 Anamorphic Widescreen NTSC Format
Thai DTS-ES 6.1 audio (768k)
Unedited, uncensored 108 minute version
English subs

It has been recoded to fit onto a DVDR and will contain the original menu (in Chinese). Once the menu pops up all you need to do is hit the enter/start button on your remote and it will start playing. I left the menu intact since it contains some cool looking animated fight sequences.
I have not done my own torrent before, but I will look into getting one posted onto MySpleen asap. If for some reason I cannot, is anyone out there willing to help?
