I guess what I'm wondering is if the XØ capture was done in 1080 so that when Blu-Ray comes along you won't have to go through it all over again. And given that the resolution of LD isn't close to 1080, does capturing at that resolution even make sense? Or will upconversion be adequate.

Maybe Lucas is just waiting to give us the O-OT on Blu-Ray and the crappy 2004 set was just to shut up the masses for a while.
