I never watched the anime version of TMNT (or was it called 'Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles'?) - but the impression I got was that it was weird-ass and they had mechs and crap...

Yeah, I should still have the leg of my April too, my sister (when she was a baby - LONG time ago) ripped her leg off, so the connector bit is stuck in there, and the leg is without a connector...

I'll have to keep an eye out for that Turtles DVD. I should probably start building a DVD collection soon (all my classic movies are trapped inside VHSs!).

BTW, if John Woo is directing it, it should be pretty damn cool. But they really should use the Henson costumes from the first one - they were right on.

Overseas they called it that because they deemed the word ninja too violent and they also cutout every shot of the nunchucks out of all the cartoons and the movies. It would be like that in europe.

An r-rated TMNT would kick ass!!! I see the dvds all the time at Wal-Mart for $5-$10

Damn, I should've got some while I was in the U.S. Alas, Wal-Mart is nowhere to be found (is that such a bad thing? I dunno)!

I always liked the original comics better than the films and movies.

The Guys who created TMNT have their own comic art museum now, I wonder if they have originals of their art on display.

Wish I still had issue Number 1.

The original cartoon is out on dvd as well as the movies (all 3 of them)

I got the first one, then they went and rereleased it in a keep case (mines in the horrible snapper case).

there is also a box set of the 3 movies, that ive seen in the store a few times but not recently, you can also find it online, though if my memory serves me correctly the box set has different art then the one i remember in the store so it may be a different set.

*edit* I also have the original comics, but they arent individual, the are the compiled into 3 or 4 'books' anyone remember that spin off comic series with the other mutants, think it was called mut-animals. I have a bunch of those (probably missing the last few, dont know how many issues it ran for though)

"Anakin, You're father I am" - Yoda
"No. No. That's not true! That's impossible!" - Anakin

I like the TMNT as much as the next guy, but can they really reclaim the large scale glory they once had?
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

I remember how bad the first TMNT game for the NES was.

I take offense to that. TMNT 1 is one of my all time favorite NES games. True, it is one of the hardest NES games, but I've beaten it several times. Every time I get to Shredder I have only one or two pellets of life left with Raph and I still seem to beat him.
