HD-DVD sucks, that's true, it's just a desperate failed attempt to compete with Blu-Ray. But Blu-Ray is a very useful product. By making it possible to put 40 gigs on a single layer disc (instead of the pathetic 15 on a HD-DVD) you certainly create huge advantages over DVD. You could put 160 gigs on a (double sided dual-layered) disc, how cool is that!
