PepsiOtaku,

I don't speak for Coov, but I know he does design work for a living, so I'm sure he'll take your suggestions for what they're worth.

Being "opinionated" is one thing, being a complete ass is another. Normally, I'm not the kind of person to get into scuffles on the internet, but I was offended by your post and your attitude, especially for a new person. This community isn't like TF.N where people get on and flame other people for the sake of stroking their own ego. That's why I like this board. Most of us are a more civilized and friendly crowd, so your post just struck me as being appallingly arrogant, downright nasty and out-of-place. We're just not used to that around here.

Thank you for your apology to Coov. Accordingly, I will aplogize to you for anything hurtful I said about your work. My criticisms of it still stand, but I'm sorry for saying it in a mean way. I appreciate that you took the time to create it and post it, and it looks quite nice for using a long-worn out design (But, to be honest, that's a matter of personal preference, which has nothing to do with the execution. I was admittedly just using it as ammunition.) In short, I like your box, ok? I think the suggestion of cardboard covers opens up a whole world of possibilities for this medium of fan-created DVD covers.

So, are we cool? You've apologized, I've apologized. Everyone hopefully knows their place now and we can get back to the regularly scheduled programming on this thread...

To Ell: It's okay for people to share unfavorable opinions about other people's work. It's okay to criticize. But please don't encourage comments like this on this forum...

Coov's work is not the end all be all of star wars dvd covers. Every other post in this thread is "oh my god coov fapfapfap." Just fucking stop it. I've been re-editing the same star wars boxset for the past year now, with tons of revisions. Coov just pumps out tons of boring covers that I really can't see anyone use. In half of them, the backside has absolutely nothing more than a logo. Coov, your stuff looks nice, don't get me wrong but if you realy cared about your work you'd finalize a few of those designs for actual use.

We're all artists here. We all care about our work. There's just no need for that kind of attitude.
