Tim Burton's Batman from 1989 features the death of his parents and is kind of Batman's beginning as a crimefighter. The crooks at the start of the film talkm about him, at that point he is a rumor, and the comissioner sees him for the first time at the chemical factory. It is Jack Napier/the Joker that causes Batman to be seen by more of Gotham.

Having said all that, there is no way that Begins can be changed to a 'prequel' for the 80's/90's film series. It might be possible to make edits/cuts to give Begins more of a Burton-y feel - but there isn't much point. It would merely be a curiosity for fans.
