The source for the 5.1 tracks on the DVDs was the 6 track mixes done at the time of each films release. The re-mix was done by Paramount and not Lucasfilm.

Agreed. Although I've never seen 3po and r2, i know they're there.
But at least Paramount didn't kill John Williams score. That's ANOTHER problem we would run into with Star Wars and not Indy.
