Where did you get that from? I actually saw a VERY old print of Raiders the first time i saw it on the big screen a few years ago. There were no differences.

Whoah, whoah, whoah...no intention of confrontation here.
In the 1981 print of 'Raiders' the Raven Bar fight was a few shots longer - basically Indy getting thrown around more. It was dropped from later prints.

Well, from what I understand the scene was shortened from the '82 re-release. Do I remember it, exactly? Of course not, I was 6 years old when I first saw 'Raiders' on the big screen in 1981. The following year I saw it about half a dozen times. In my original post, I said "reportedly" the scene was changed. It's what I've heard from others on Indiana Jones message boards, and it appears on IMDB in the "Alternate Version" section.
Of course IMDB is no where near a reputable source, as it is all user submitted info. There's just enough there to suggest that it's possible. It doesn't really matter in so much as everyone remembers the 1982 re-release print which was then used for the VHS and Laserdisc releases.
I've seen 'Raiders' prints (ranging fro very, very old, to very, very new) subsequently over the years several times, and it has not changed on DVD with the exception of the FX cleanups and audio re-mix.
That's all...We'll never now for sure obviously, since it's damn near impossible to get ahold of the 1981 print.
