Well, if you can't get paid to play in the Olympics, that would take care half the events.

Snowboarding, skiing, figure skating, etc.

They all get paid at one point or another for playing in their respective sports.

But back on topic, I love Olympic hockey, men's and women's.

But most of them are for winning competitions and that. Or sponsorships. That's different than just getting paid to play.

still being paid or not should have no effect on whether you can be called the best in the world or not.

Well, how's America's form in the Olympics?! Half of their athletes are fast Africans adopted into their sporting programs...a whole new form of slavery (maybe well-paid slavery) to clean up medals.
MTFBWY. Always.

Is that different from so many other countries? Canada's bobsled brakeman, who won gold with Pierre Leuders, is Jamaican and just got his citizenship this month.

thats possible, i am 50/50 on it though, it all depends on how anahiem can react to calagry's D. if anahiem can score, they will win. cause we already know that calagry cant score to save there lives.

i dont know, nydimacki is good but miller is better, and buffalo is such a well structured team, they have no one player that you have to shut down. where as with philly shutdown forsberg and gagne.

well last year the red sox won the world series. my pick to win the cup is SJ though, my god that is a good team.

I really want to say Ottawa all the way, but when they lose 6 of 7 down the stretch, it's hard to cheer for them.

I don't know that Buffalo will even be playing Phillie. Both Phillie and Jersey are only one point behind the Rangers now.

San Jose, though, Shim, I agree, will go far this year. They looked like a lock before the season started, then they ended up being stinkers till Thorton came around. Now nothing can stop the Cheechoo train!

And I know why you laugh at Dion. I remember watching that replay over and over. But seriously, a rookie defenceman with 20 goals? In Calgary? THat's huge!

HAHAHA its just too funny, i love that gif, ruutu shows him up so good. but yeah , if hasek gets back for ottawa(i'm outta the loop on that) but if he does, the team will good far. but yeah sj they have 26 loses on the season and i am pretty sure that like 15 of those came in b4 the thorton trade, so that just tells you what he did to that team.

Even if Hasek gets back (they expect him for Tuesday against the Rangers), he's still going to be a liability because he's the weak point. Granted, I think part of that deals with the rules this season, and the distinct lack of protection for goalies, but whatever.

We'd do well together, Shim. I know the East, and you know the West.

hahahaha indeed, let go place bet syb.

At least the west is pretty much set.

There's still three teams vying for the final two spots in the east! And no telling yet who's going to top the Atlantic division!
