Thats quite interesting that it shows the UK release date, because I have known for years that I saw the original film in its first week in 1977 with my mum but for years was unsure of the exact date, so it must been just after Christmas, but do remember some of the hype and razmatazz surrounding Star Wars before seeing the film.
