A very odd post I must say.

Isn't that all pretty obvious from simply watching the films or moreover listening to Lucas's endless rhetoric.

I still have big problems linking the two Trilogies. They seem like chalk and cheese to me.

The OT was inventive, original (well, traditional with a twist), funny, clever and above all entertaining. The PT for me was trite and derivitive and lacked all that made the OT such a big part of childhood. I really don't think that the PT will grow with it's child audience the way that the OT did with my generation. My newphews have grown up with the PT and have already moved on. They still like the OT but say that the PT is good for their little cousin - aged 4.

I don't think this TV series will do much to help matters either.
