Yeah, I totally agree that there's nothing wrong with it. To paraphrase my pastor (which is not to say that my opinions on alcohol are necessarily formed by my religion, but that he said this recently, and I thought it was a pretty interesting view that I happen to share), he said that (contrary to what most people think of Southern Baptists, which is what I am) he didn't think alcohol was wrong, and that he used to drink. But he came to the realization that it doesn't really do anybody any good, but it has the potential to do harm, so he came to the same conclusion you did (the 'fuck it' part may or may not have actually been spoken
