A few thing. We've been to Disneyland several times in the past few weeks:
2) Two weekends ago: My neighbors have friends who get all four of us in free. We do all the kiddie rides.
3) One weekend ago: My dad played trombone with his band at the Carnation Plaza (On his birthday, no less). We decide to go ahead and buy annual passes (My son isn't two yet, so he's still free. My daughter's four.) Again, all kiddie rides.
4) Last Tuesday, my wife leaves our son at preschool and has a Mother-Daughter day. (I had a Father-Daughter day with her about a year ago.)
We wanted to spend Valentine's Day together, and this was the perfect opportunity in so many ways. We've got 99% of the rest of the year to use our passes with the kids. After almost 10 years of marriage, and spending most of our "home time" with the children, you learn to take these precious moments whenever you can. It helps keep the relationship strong.
(Besides, the kids had a Valentine's Day party at preschool, so they got to have some fun too!)
