That's what happens when you appear in a Star Wars prequel. At least he was smart enough to get out after just one. "Actors prefer to work with actors." I love that quote.

To be honest, I would rather have seen General Zod as the Emperor instead of Ian McDiarmid.

Did you see 'Haunted Mansion'? Maybe not the greatest film in the world overall but Stamp was great in it!

I still have many MANY doubts about this film, but at least I can respect filmmakers who seem to honestly answer questions:

During interviews at this past weekend's WonderCon, "Superman Returns" director Bryan Singer has denied rumors that the film's budget has gone over $250 million or talk of extensive reshoots.

"There's some idiot [who] wrote somewhere that the movie was $250 million, which is the most absurd thing I've ever heard. I'll tell you exactly: The movie was budgeted at $184.5 million and will probably climb with visual effects and variables that occur in a movie of this magnitude, with 1,400 visual effects, etc., to somewhere still south of $200 million. Which is still a great deal of money, but it is by no means ... what was published in that" said the director.

As for the extensive reshoot talk? "There were none. We're probably going to do one day of pickup in Los Angeles, but there was none. What I did was I switched my schedule. I had shot for about 105 or 107 days. Originally, I was going to shoot for 128 days, 130 days, And instead, I stopped. I decided, because I was so exhausted and the process was so long, I was starting to lose my objectivity. So I shortened the schedule and stopped shooting after ... what I believe was 107 days. And then came back to Los Angeles for about three and a half weeks, and then went back and finished the schedule in Sydney".

from Dark Horizons

Of course my heart sank again when I read this morning that Singer will re-start work on his 'Logan's Run' remake as his next project... but that's a bitch for another thread!

All right, I've watched the teaser about 10 times now, and have been catching up on all the news over at the forums of BT.net, and I must say: I can't wait for this movie.

I really like the look of the Batman one, kind of makes me wish they took a traditional route with BB.

Nope, we all don't.

Though he was pretty good, Jack as the Joker seemed more like Jack Nicholson being Jack Nicholson to me, if that makes any sense.

Also, the character in Batman just wasn't insane enough, or evil enough.

The Joker is a sick, twisted, and an utterly uncurable psychopathic killer, and Jack didn't capture that IMO. Or, at least, to the extent that he should have.

Just making sure. Cause, you know, "chatter".

Info below on "Superman: Still Here" (found this at the Superman boards for SuperheroHype.com):
Variety announces the further adventures of the Flying Rat and the Big Blue Bird! Also a bit on LOGAN'S RUN!
Hey folks, Harry here... believe it or not... and obviously we believe it, cuz this is one of those huge NO SHIT SHERLOCK announcements - which I can only think is meant to get a bump in Time/Warners' stock prices... but whatever, it's still good to hear that sequels are lined up for both BATMAN and SUPERMAN franchises... with Christopher Nolan and Bryan Singer both on board their respective properties.
BATMAN STILL SLUGGING is apparently being based on a treatment that Christopher Nolan (working on THE PRESTIGE) and David Goyer (just finished THE INVISIBLE and set to write & direct THE FLASH) did before they went to their respective upcoming projects. Meanwhile - Jonah Nolan, bro to Christopher - has been clacking away on the sequel script to the caped crusader. No mention of characters, plot or anything other than the fact that Christian Bale would return. The article in Variety didn't give a single twinge of a mention regarding when and where this next tale would shoot or start.
Meanwhile, SUPERMAN STILL HERE is set to shoot after Bryan Singer finishes his remake of LOGAN'S RUN, which begins shooting this September reportedly! Can Not Wait for that one. Meanwhile - there's no word in the article if Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris will be back for scripting duties on the big boy scout's latest series of good deed doing. However, I'd bet on them being back. Dougherty was seen holding hands with Sarah Douglas... albeit briefly last night. Word has it. Mike is all aflutter. Ursa apparently has additional abilities not shown in SUPERMAN II. The mind boggles. After all, she's like the evil-super-Barbarella!
