I saw Patrick Stewart perform a one-man production of a christmas carol and it was great. The man is an acting God.

But X3? Looks ok I guess, but VINNIE JONES as Juggernaut? Are you kidding me? The guy's a footballer, not an actor. I don't know if maybe they thought it would be cool because he's English and America kind of digs on English stuff, but I say - bad idea.

They might let the X-Men title rest for a couple of years in the sense that we wouldn't see Storm, Cyclops, Prof. X, but not in the sense that we would be without X-Men characters, what with the Wolverine and Magneto spin offs coming along. Odds are we'll get a few Wolverine films that are just Wolvie without any other X-Men around and then a different batch of full blown X-Men films will be made.

I think it'd be the WORST IDEA ON EARTH! I mean, he's the friggin' leader. Granted, not a large part, but he should've played a bigger part. Stupid script writers. "Wolverine is soooo cool. Let's make him the main character." "Halle Berry is whining. Let's give her a bigger part."

Yeah, it pisses me off too. Of all the X-Men characters, Cyclops was always my favorite (along with Beast and Colossus), and I was so mad at how they treated him in the first two movies, virtually ignoring him like they did. And then they go and say he'll appear in X3 in a "reduced role". I'm like how the f*** can you reduce his role anymore than you already have?! He's the frickin' leader and you treated him like some minor character, and now you're gonna "reduce" his role?! How the Hell can you reduce his role anymore without writing him out fo the God damn movie altogether?!

Personally, I blame Wolverine. At this point I'm just sick & tired of him.

I have the original X-Men DVD, but not the 1.5 release? Can anybody comment on the quality of the deleted scenes in 1.5 vs the original release? Do they match the quality of the film itself, which they didn't do in the original release?

yeah and while were talking about deleted scene, why is there no extended versions of the x men films.

the deleted scenes on the 1.5 release are good quality, the're letterbox not anamorphic, you can watch the film with the extended scenes included although it doesn't work too well, as sometimes you get two versions of the same scene one after the other.

The reason there aren't extended versions is because the deleted scenes are largely pointless, there are a few more deleted scenes for X2 so it might be worth it, I was thinking of putting them in for my own enjoyment.


X3 looks like it will be great, I always liked Beast so I'm glad to see he's in it, I just hope it rounds off this trilogy nicely.

I looked at the deleted scenes on X2 and saw almost no value in restoring them. The scenes in X1 are much more valuable to the plot (and the film is short enough it can stand the extension). The original disc has the same non-seamless branching that is half-assed. I was really disappointed when they said 1.5 wasn't going to contain the full-on extended cut but just a rehash of the original release. Hence, I never bought it. Sounds like I'm not missing anything. Just another retread.

X3 better not suck. Ratner better not screw the fans by delivering a sub-par movie. He's a fraction of the director that Singer is, so he has a lot to prove. Fortunately, the trailer did look quite promising.

I just spent a bit of time looking over the deleted scenes and really I don't think there's anything from either film that really merits being put back in, there's no way they would improve the films, they'd probably make them a whole lot less enjoyable, still if I get really bored one day I might try it just to see what might have been.

What the heck? There's no way that Colossus photo is legit. He was in X2 and they got him right, so why would they change him for X3? I can't believe they would screw him up like that.
