A friend of mine told me the other day that the latest AvP is differnt from the novel and previous movie (which I didnt know exisited :S) so I was wonderinf if anyone had edited the new one to conform with either of the others.

Btw, theres gonna be AvP2

Like everything else excreted by Worthless Scum Anderson, this "film" could have been improved by cutting... Anderson's head off.

after seeing it again last night i am convinced that the film can be improved greatly by cuts/trims. Started taking notes...I'll see if anything worthwhile develops

Cutting out the bad parts will result in a movie of only beginning and end credits.

BTW the title of the sequel is

AVP2:Survival of the Shitest!

Everything I have heard about this film makes me sick. It will be the first Alien and/or Predator film I will not see at the theater. I can't believe 20th Century Fox decided to go with this rather than the team up of Cameron and Ridley that they proposed for Alien 5.

Actually, I'm about 80% done on an AvP edit. So far, (IMO) it's a better film, but cannot be made into a good film.

I think the general story of the movie was pretty good. But it was such a soft movie. They should't have turned it into a "suitable for children" movie.

I'd be interested to see what you're planning Antman. I'm playing with some ideas myself but haven't really got anything yet.

I've made more changes than I can be bothered counting, but my main focus has been:

1. Removed all references to Sebastian's idiotic "metric time" watch.
2. Re-ordered events to lengthen the Aliens' gestation time as much as is possible. (Not much to work with, but you do what you can.

)
3. Dropped as many of the cringe-worthy lines as possible. I've needed to retain one or two to help with flow, but most have come out without fuss.
4. Take out a lot of jibber-jabber. The characters don't seem to be able to not talk for more than ten seconds, so I've removed a fair bit of non-essential small talk.
5. Altered all Predator-vision shots to be more like the first two Pred films. I did not dig Anderson's Tang-vision.
6. Added the Predator's triple heartbeat to all P.O.V. shots.
7. Re-edited the main fight between 'Scar' and 'Grid' Not a whole lot better, but re-ordered it and removed a bunch of shots that I personally hated.
8. Altered the colour-timing on the whole flick. Those muted grey shadows that turned up a lot gave me the shits.
9. Ummm...[thinking, thinking...]

That's the main stuff I can remember. There's tweaks in every scene of the film, but a lot of it will probably go unnoticed. I'll be doing a detailed list of alterations once the cut is locked.
