what did you think would happen after ep1? and then after you saw ep2?

Man, I remember that time, when I had yet to see the OT and had only seen TPM. Let's just say the possibilities seemed endless to me.

I thought GL would make better movies, and both times, I was wrong.

Anakin was an OLD MAN when he died, therefore his ghost should be old too AND WITH EYEBROWS

i thought after ep1, anakin would free the slaves, and a love triangle would develop between obi anakin and padme. remember this was was before the no attachment law. in ep 3 after the actual ep 2 i thought anakin would leave the jedi order and be on the farm with owen when obi wan came by and begged anakin for help in the clone wars, you know so continuity wouldnt be so effed up

Man, that would have been cool if he would have done that, battlewars.

After I saw ep1 i thought that anakin would return at the beginning of the movie for his mother. He'd already be a jedi knight and all. I thought that he would leave the jedi order over some sort of dispute, possibly involving Padme. He and his mother would settle in with Owen and Beru. Padme would end up with him. But, the clone wars would break out and they both would have to leave. the wars would spill into tantoonie and his mother would be killed in some kind of skirmish. Anakin would go darkside and waste several of the mandeloreans. something like that anyway. I just wanted something that would focus on his inner conflict which doen't get enough play time in my opinion.

i definitely thought he would go back for his mother, seeing as how he made a big deal of it in tpm.

well in ep2 the only reason he goes after her is when he senses her dying. i thought he would rescue herand the other slaves before it ever came to that. seems like he was in a hurry to in ep1

Didnt care about speculation for the next two, back in 99 TPM killed my enthuasim for Star Wars for years and as a result made no effort to see Clones straight away when it was released, same with Sith not interested in the speculation only got interested in the hype about a month before seeing it opening day

sorry to say i did speculate on both ep2 and 3, i was just hoping for the best in both instances

I speculated a LOT for AOTC. But the times between AOTC and ROTS were the SW dark ages for me. I nearly lost interest in SW completely during that time.

Haha i remember the whole "freeing the slaves" concept was a big one, as everybody seemed to think it was a big deal since Anakin always talked about it being his dream. But i guess the fact that it never happens is a point unto itself--Anakin never achieve his dream.

I remember the biggest question i had was whether or not him and Padme had kept in regular contact or if they hadnt seen each other in the ten years. I also thought that Episode II would be somewhat lighter--TPM surprised me with its light tone (in a good way) and then AOTC with its dark tone, as the two films are pretty contrasting.

For ROTS i thought Dooku would play a bigger role, and it seems as if he was initially poised to, but the script was infamously restructured early in the writing stage.

I just didnt want to be let down again and knew in my heart it wasnt the same as when I was younger and the originals were out so I just stayed away from Star Wars just seeing Clones once a few weeks after release, it was only when Sith sounded and the trailer looked good that any form of interest returned.
