Philly will go to war and destroy Delaware before that happens.

The idiot now wants congress to grant him $120 BILLION for his war. I mean, he could of used it to help poverty in our, or another country or something. I remember back when he was granted that $89 billion for his war, that the money he used could have been spent to buy a house for every single poverty-stricken family in America. But what does he do? He funds a pointless war.

No wonder the value of the American dollar is in decline.

I hate working in the rain & the wind. Unless of course it's summer in which case the wind is welcomed.
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

Oh yeah, Adam. Because poverty is ALL the government's fault and it's THEIR JOB to fork over money to help people fix their horrible condition that they were OPRESSED into.

Get real. The only real solution to poverty is to work your way out of it. The Government isn't here to dole out billions of dollars to people who've had too many kids and now can't afford them all or people just too lazy to work. It's not cruelty to not help someone that it's not in your power to help, and the government simply CAN'T help everyone that doesn't have an income.

Granted, 120 billion dollars for the war is stretchng the budget, but I don't think THAT is the part of it that needs to be cut. Most politicians are independently wealthy; they can afford less exorbiant salaries. And the Lord knows how overgrown welfare has become. Ween everyone who doesnt' really need it off, and THERE's your balanced budget.

Chaltab, my point was this: Which is a more productive use of 120 Billion? Is it... helping the lives of many, or... destroying the lives of many.

Yes, I agree that people should work to get themselves out of poverty, but it makes me wonder what has happened to the "for the people" statement in the constitution. The point of government is to protect the well-being of the citizens, not push it's leader's pointless agenda, while turning a blind eye to real problems.

see he should take that 120 billion and swap it with all the money going into alternate energy research

then he would have 10 billion for the war and we would have clean energy in 2 years

That would work as well. It would also help his personal goal of not wanting to rely on the Middle East for oil.

LOL, yeah, they've claimed it, so it is theirs. He is correct, natural products of the earth don't actually belong to anyone, but ownership of such materials is "organized" by people. If the US or any other place tried to claim the oil as theirs, there would be more war... which we don't need.

In conclusion: The oil is theirs. Either pay up, or find a "new oil."

I hate it that the Seahawks lost the Super Bowl, and I hate how passionless this Super Bowl turned out to be. Neither team seemed all that passionate or emotional about the game. This is the friggin' Super Bowl, man! This is where entire careers are defined forever! But they just went in ho-hum like it was just another game, like it didn't matter at all. A good Super Bowl should feel epic and grandiose, not so much a game but a battle between the forces of good and evil, light and dark, X-Men against Brotherhood of [Evil] Mutants, Justice League against the Legion of Doom, King Arthur & the Knights of the Round Table against Mordred, Robin Hood & his Merry Men against the Sheriff of Nottingham, Starfleet Federation against the Klingons, the Rebels against the Empire, Aslan's Narnia army against the forces of the White Witch, the Fellowship of the Ring + the Armies of Rohan & Gondor against the forces of Sauron, He-Man & The Masters of the Universe against the forces of Skeletor, Thundercats against Mumm-Ra, etc.

But this Super Bowl was like watching pancakes cook.
