yeah i guess so, but hey kev you sould dl some of immortal techniques songs, you'll like them.

here is one of his verses

Look motherfucker, my words damage an slaughter
a raging alcoholic like the presidents daughters
disgusting flows like third world country tap water
but before I hit the border, someone give me a quarter
cuz I'm a prank call, cop shot just for kicks
payback for everytime that they called me a spit
and Porturigan chicks told me that I fuck like i'm loco
and dominiquin women call me the 'Rompe Todo'
they call me 'Assioso' I'd rather get fired than quit
I get unemployment, you work and we making the same shit
how dare you niggaz critise the way that I spit
you coffee shop revolutionary son of a bitch
but you know what the fuck I think is just pathetic and gay
when niggaz speculate what the fuck 'Pac would say
you don't know shit, about a dead mans perspective
and talking shit will get your neckbone disconnected
disrespected niggaz don't show no love
why you trying to be hardcore, you fucking homo-thug
and don't be sensitive and angry at the shit that I wrote
cuz if you can take a fucking dick, you can take a joke
I choke your friends in front of you, to prove that you fallen off
and you won't do shit about it, like the church during the holocaust
calitsnacortch (?) machine gun flow that I fire
obnoxious untill they shoot me on the day I retire

its from obnoxious.

*drys up tears*

i agree, but there is some new stuff that compares, i know alot of people dont agree with me, but some of eminems stuff and some of immortal techniques does.

I love his Marshall Mathers LP album and that old stuff but I really hate his comedic nonsense like "Ass like that" "Just Lose it". the best em song recently was Toy Soldiers

Rap is like any other musical form: there's the good stuff and the crap. Personally, give me Public Enemy, OutKast, The Roots, Eminem, Digital Underground, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest and a few others. Most gangsta stuff I can't stand. Snoop is hit-and-miss.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Bomb Squad-era Public Enemy is some of the finest rap out there.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

shim, Gorillaz really isn't rap, I'd put them down as pop/r n b but they're not rap.

yeah again, they do rap in there song but your right they arent really under main stream rap. they are in the same crowd as the beasty boyz.

Gorillaz are a hybrid, in much the same way that Beck's music is a hybrid.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

The word "better" does not exist within the classification system for rap. The only word that can be possibly used to describe it is the word "crap."

Seriously shut the fuck up. No one likes you and nor did they ask your opinion and nor will they ever bother to care. By the way, you are a troll. Why are you still on this website?

IIRC, the question posed by the thread is: "Does anyone here like Rap music?"

So... I decided to answer that question. Now that my opinion has been fully fleshed out here, I shall not post in this particular thread anymore.

*while saying this, has fingers crossed behind his back*

It still took him six posts to "fully flesh out" his opinion. Ugh.

I grew up kinda sheltered from rap in a small town in Ontario where nobody listened to it. I can appreciate it, even if I don't necessarily like it. The lyricism of (most) rap is by far the highlight of today's music

I prefer this rap song:

Take my love, take my land.
Take me where I cannot stand.
I don't care, I'm still free.
You can’t take the sky from me.

Take me out to the black.
Tell 'em I ain't comin' back.
Burn the land and boil the sea.
You can't take the sky from me.

There's no place I can be
Since I found Serenity.
But you can't take the sky from me.
